John Trimble – Hot Crispy Oil
John Trimble’s family has been in the food business in the Capital Region since the 1920s. They imported a variety of goods, worked in the wholesale food business and with Star Supermarkets in the 1980s and 1990s.
Once COVID hit the Capital Region, John shuttered his family’s staple restaurant, La Serre, in Albany. It took the restauranteur three months to launch the product Hot Crispy Oil from an item made in his home kitchen to a commercial kitchen with a staff of 10.
Since John started their production in July, he has sold more than 10,000 units, with distribution in stores throughout the Albany region, and as far across the country as Wisconsin.
